A Film Day in Rome – June 2025. Shot on Kodak Gold 200
In June 2025, I had the joy of spending a sunny days in Rome with my dear friend Zhanar – and I brought my film camera along.
Zhanar lives in the San Lorenzo neighbourhood, just behind the Termini train station. If you notice the church in some of the photos – that’s where we were! San Lorenzo is popular among students and young people because of its more affordable housing, and the vibe is very lively and relaxed.
We sat down for a coffee on a quiet street next to the church, soaking in the atmosphere and chatting about life.
Zhanar showed me the Italian rhythm of living: early mornings, slow afternoons, long walks across the city. She believes that romantic floral dresses are just made for life in Italy – and looking at her in the photos, I can’t help but agree.
We later made our way to the Roman Forum area, strolling among crowds of tourists, caught between ruins and sunlight.
Here are a few moments from that day – soft tones, summer warmth, and the kind of memories only film can hold.
