Walk with an Artist - Anastasiia Kravchuk (or Nasyla)

Image
We celebrated New Year 2022 together with our friends in Ukraina. One of them - Nastya (or Nasyla ) - brought a box of Swiss chocolate, sent by her aunt from Geneva. Who could imagine that in a few months I'll move there  with my kids hiding from war. Now me and Nastya meet both in Geneva and Kyiv. Here in Swiss, when she comes to see her relatives, and there in Kyiv - when I come to see mines.  This bunch of shots were made during our walks in Nyon and Geneva in sunny December of 2024. My very first roll on a professional camera Canon ELAN 7, here in Switzerland, after 3 years of a break in my film photo hobby.

Between Seasons in Valais | Haut-Nendaz on Kodak ProImage 100

Image
April in canton of Valais has its own quiet rhythm. The ski season is over, summer guests haven’t arrived yet, and the village takes a breath. We walked slowly through forests and empty streets of Haut-Nendaz, with children, with time to notice small details — how people prepare their homes and cafés, how life gently shifts towards the warmer months. Fresh air, soft light, no rush. Captured on Kodak ProImage 100. Photos by Maryna Nersesian April 2025

My second day in Rome - with Kodak Ektar 100

Image
One day in June, captured on Kodak Ektar 100. A long walk through Rome — from an early morning in Coppedè with my friend Zhanar and a sweet stop at a local pasticceria, to an afternoon wandering around Villa Borghese. We ended the day on a rooftop near Roma Termini, watching the sunset and chatting with people full of stories. A day wrapped in sunlight, architecture, and small, beautiful moments.

A Film Day in Rome – June 2025. Shot on Kodak Gold 200

Image
In June 2025, I had the joy of spending a sunny days in Rome with my dear friend Zhanar – and I brought my film camera along.  Zhanar lives in the San Lorenzo neighbourhood, just behind the Termini train station. If you notice the church in some of the photos – that’s where we were! San Lorenzo is popular among students and young people because of its more affordable housing, and the vibe is very lively and relaxed.  We sat down for a coffee on a quiet street next to the church, soaking in the atmosphere and chatting about life.  Zhanar showed me the Italian rhythm of living: early mornings, slow afternoons, long walks across the city. She believes that romantic floral dresses are just made for life in Italy – and looking at her in the photos, I can’t help but agree.  We later made our way to the Roman Forum area, strolling among crowds of tourists, caught between ruins and sunlight. Here are a few moments from that day – soft tones, summer warmth, and the kind of me...

Kapchagay Reservoir, March 2021

Image
A short trip to Kazakhstan left me with vivid memories. In March 2021, my friends organised a little getaway to the frozen Kapchagay Reservoir — a place where the steppe meets the sky, and the air feels clear and still. It was quiet and vast. The ice was still thick, but spring was in the air. The girls brought homemade pastries and hot tea, and we had a picnic right on the frozen cost, wrapped up in blankets. It was chilly, but cosy. These moments — the landscape, the simplicity, the warmth — have stayed with me ever since.

Double Exposure, Geneva, February 2025

Image
This photo series is a quiet tribute to connection — between people, between cities, and between moments captured on film. Shot on Ilford PAN 400, these images are the result of a beautiful accident: a double exposure created not by design, but by distance, memory, and trust. The Story Behind the Film: Some time ago, my husband Oleksii took a few photographs in Kyiv. Nature. Machinery. Buildings. He didn’t finish the roll — and forgot what was on it. When he sent the film to me in Geneva, I loadedit into my camera, unaware of the latent images it already held. I photographed what surrounded me: lake shores, city architecture, textures of everyday life.
